Why, do you like CVT transmissions?

Even the lower trim Levorg....it’s the only Subie in their current lineup (aside from the WRX) that I don’t mind.....the rest, I’m not a fan of in the styling department.

just import a few choice parts , grab a few others from a wreck, then enjoy.

I can’t remember having seen a Levorg of any kind, ever, even though they are available in the Netherlands. 2015 and 2016 combined they sold 90 of the critters, nationally. It being gasoline-only, CVT-only, aesthetically challenged, the steep price and it being an obscure brand doesn’t help.

Counterpoint, the US is way more into Subarus than the UK

True but theyre less into wagons. If it was jacked up like an Outback then maybe itd sell.

Wait, we have the Levorg STI????? I was not aware. Looking into Legacy Spec B at the moment but Levorg might be interesting.

An STi hatch would function the same way. There used to be a WRX hatch based off the 2008 Impreza design (WRX designs are really late. The one based off of the 2012 design didn’t come until 2015).

No, this is a little larger than a WRX. I used to have a ‘97 Legacy GT wagon and it was the perfect size, about the same size as this.

Considering how many people slam Subarus...
And as far as Subaru wagons go, the Forester is now a crossover, the Outback is just plain big, and people are pointing at the Audi Allroad and shaking their heads in disappointment at Subaru. I feel this certainly would have a spot in the American market.
How many Jetta Sportwagens did VW sell before Dieselgate... Oh yeah, Subaru has a diesel engine, too...

On vacation in London now. I’ve seen like 5 Bentleys and only one (non sti sadly) Levorg

I’m moving to the US in a few weeks... Where are the sporty AWD wagons?? That’s what we need to make America great again!

There aren’t any new ones on the market except for Audi that I’m aware of. Unless you want to pony up for an E63. It is is very disappointing that there aren’t entry level sporty AWD wagons anymore....

I was sort of hoping you were right and that it was a 1.5, then a 1.6 and fingers crossed leading upwards.
I think I’d take a Skoda Superb Sportline estate way before the Levorg.

if you had the choice of the Skoda or a Levorg Sti? I know for sure I’d be going for the Scoob, love the sound of a flat 4 with a UEL manifold

Sell this chassis here as the outback sport and put a lift kit on and it would sell. STI version idk about.

No, I wouldn’t take it as anything other than a three pedal manual.
And I like it because I want something bigger than the Impreza, but in wagon form and not a gargantuan Outback.

Subaru has lost its mind. Certainly catering to the mass customers and not the enthusiasts.

It’s going to stay in Japan. 97% of new cars sold here are automatics. No reason for them to do it any other way. Also Levorg never came out with manuals, ever. No reason for it to start now.

Well, it’s also in Europe with a gloriously tiny 1.6, but as seen from most reviews - that’s not doing it any favours.

Trust me, the grass is always greener on the other side.
There’s a lot of Japanese and Europe exclusive cars which you probably wouldn’t want, and judging by how Subaru messed up the engines and trans, this is one of them.

I was just hoping for a modern version of my ‘97 Legacy GT Wagon. The new Legacy’s are too big, and the Outbacks even more so... But something bigger than an Impreza.

At first I thought so too, because RHD.
But after checking their websites, it seems to also be sold in continental Europe.
http://www.subaru.fr/ , https://www.subaru.de/ , http://www.subaru.it/ , http://www.subaru.pl/ , http://www.subaru.se/ , http://www.subaru.nl/ etc.

Oh that’S interesting and very new then... The Levorg has been on the UK for a while, but it just arrived (since 2015 I think) in LHD everywhere else in the EU
